Maki & Co: A Sushi Delight

Craving sushi and tired of the usual delivery options, I ventured online and stumbled upon Maki & Co. Intrigued, I decided to visit for a takeaway. Greeted warmly upon arrival, the server's enthusiasm was inviting, as she expertly guided me through the chef's specials and sashimi selections. Highlighting the day's fresh tuna and a special fish not typically on the menu, her recommendations were spot-on, taking into account both my preferences and any dietary restrictions.

Opting for a variety of selections, I sipped on an Asahi beer while I waited, taking in the venue's layout. Primarily geared towards takeout, it nevertheless seemed a cozy spot for a quick lunch, with poke bowls catching my eye for next time.

The presentation and explanation of my takeaway order were meticulous, heightening my anticipation. At home, the sushi exceeded my expectations. It was perhaps too much food, but this allowed me to savor each dish's excellence. The sushi was a revelation of flavor and freshness; the tuna melted in my mouth like a finely aged steak, the avocado burst with richness, and the prawns were perfectly seasoned. Each bite was a testament to Maki & Co's quality and craft.

In summary, Maki & Co has not just satisfied my sushi craving but elevated it. It's not only become my go-to local sushi bar but has set a new benchmark for sushi excellence. Highly recommended for anyone seeking the pinnacle of sushi craftsmanship.

Looking forward to my next visit!

Fantastic food, no doubt. You can eat in but there are only 8 seats inside, which was perfect for our party of six, but not a spot for “going out for dinner with friends”. If you’re a couple and want a quiet bite, then would recommend for the food quality alone. Great value.

When I tried to see if my favourite sushi place was open and it was I immediately went down to check it out. Not only was it pitch black, but there were people in, this restaurant opens at 6:00 I managed to get there for 7:00. Yet it didn’t look at all opened to the general public. I saw a lady in there, so i tried to call but lo and behold as I was calling they had silenced my call and continued to ignore it. Now if there was a sign saying - “not open due to blah blah” I’d be fine but it said it was open and so I went to go get my sushi. I love the kimchi and avocado sushi rolls. Really do like this place just disappointed

It is absolutely amazing and wonderful quality of ingredients. People are so welcoming and the venue is very clean and insta-style. The price might be seemed a bit expensive compared to something like wasabi, but when you eat it, you would know why. The ingredients are so fresh and the staff never cheat on foods. Try it and you’d never be able to stop coming here. I tried Earlsfield roll, crunchy roll and tempura udon. The Earlsfield roll contains silver cod and it disappears when you put it on your mouth.

Food was very good. Probably one of the best Japanese in the area.

Must also say, the lady serving was extremely good. Very attentive and didn't get too stressed when it got busier.

They have quite a selection of usual Japanese dishes, sushi, sashimi, etc..

Drinks are sake and some soft drinks. No wine.

Prices are also as expected so no surprise.

Just one thing to watch out for is the parking. Read the signs carefully. Parking wardens in the area are vicious!
