We arrived around 7:00pm, because an Amazing band was playing Called the Maddie something band. The drummer and electric guitar players were friends of mine. I sat down at the table and was brought water promptly. I ordered a grill cheese and sandwich. Eventually it arrived and my friend arrived as well. She ordered a drink and a veggie platter. After a wait, the drink arrived. Not the food, so we asked again and apparently he had forgotten. Oh well. Finally it all arrived and the food was absolutely excellent!!!! More friends arrived and after waiting for some time, I got up and flagged a waitstaff, who eventually made his way to our table. They were served water that had been sitting at the table for quite some time, so we had a ask for fresh water. ? I’m not sure if they were prepared for the crowd who came to see the band!!!

I went here to try this restaurant for the first time. I was impressed by the clean atmosphere, firstly. Afterwards, I requested a menu. He gave me a menu for to-go, but informed me there is a separate menu for dine in and for breakfast.
I ordered a hamburger with some swirly potato wedges and a second plate with the bbq sandwich and some BBQ beans. The burger patty was well-seasoned, and the burger was large! The potato wedges were slightly salted but good. The brisket sandwich was great also! They are not selfish with the meat! The bbq beans had plentiful meat, also!
There is a card to get about 5 stamps to get a free appetizer. I'll definitely return!
The address is a Camp Bowie address but the building is faced sideways so you can miss if you don't turn in the parking lot. It's in the shopping area by McAlisters deli but on the side across from Spectrum.

Was looking forward to coming here since I’m not usually around this side of town and always look for a new place to try. The reviews and food pictures looked amazing but when I got there I had a horrible experience.
It was 12 o’clock, they open at 11am - so I knew they would probably have the lunch rush., anyone would know that. However it seems as they were short staffed. When I arrived there was a gentleman standing there waiting to be seated so I waited too… after a good while I decided to just go sit at the bar.
The bar tender was not nice., I waited there for about 15+ min to get my drink. During that wait I waved down another server and he completely ignored me. All I wanted was some water, it was 104 outside, a cup of water would’ve been appreciated. I watched another couple just get up and leave and I didn’t understand why they weren’t being helped since I saw three guys there and it was not that busy. Also a couple who arrived after me got their drinks before me.

I ordered the burger ? and it did not disappoint., sad that it was hard to enjoy after that experience it I had no time to go somewhere else.
I had to pack half of my meal and chug my drink because this took way longer than necessary.

Loved our happy hour and lunch on a Tuesday. Made from scratch for 90 percent of their items. Loved the queso n salsa especially.

Tried Old Texas Brewing Company, Ft. Worth for the first time today. It was simply amazing, and we had the best server I’ve had anywhere in years, Xavier. Not only was he on top of everything, he made sure we were informed about everything the place had to offer, and he seemed to take pride in the place. He was awesome.

I went there for the chicken fried steak, because I’m always on the lookout for the next best place to get one (RIP Horseshoe Hill Cafe). Not only did it not disappoint, it was the best one I’ve had this year. The fried okra was amazing as well. My wife had the mahi-mahi tacos, and she loved them. We’ll be going back for sure to try their other options, as it was so hard to make a decision (looking at you, brisket nachos).

I will say though, the dinner portion for the chicken fried steak was huge. That is not a small plate. So unless you are looking forward to leftovers, I would suggest the lunch portion.

My only constructive criticisms (but were by no means horrible or even took away from me being able to enjoy what I ordered):

We ordered fried pickles, which tasted great, but seemed to already be well into the cooling process as they were not piping hot (still warm though). They came to the table in about 5 minutes after ordering them, so I’m not sure how they cooled so quickly.

Ranch had a great flavor, but was it was pretty liquidy. I prefer a thicker ranch (see Texas Roadhouse), but at the end of the day, it’s the flavor that matters most, which it delivered on.

Neither are really complaints, just personal preference suggestions.

I highly suggest trying it out. I plan on going back and bringing friends. They have good happy hour / daily specials on food and alcohol, and their general prices are VERY fair compared to any other restaurant. Price for value, it’s sitting at the top of the chart.

For starters we had the loaded tots which came with brisket overall table favorite rate 7.5. We had the stuff brisket jalapeños, from the pics you can see the bacon was burnt to a crip and not very good, the filling inside was however tasty rate 6. I had the COD and onion rings, sweet potatoe fries, Cod did not taste as it had any seasoning on it, but the menu says it's a beer batter so maybe they depend on that to be the season- rate 5, onion rings and fries were pretty good. The man had the sliced brisket, mashed potatoes and broccoli, he rated it a 9 said he liked it. Daughter had chicken fried chicken she was not a fan.. son had the burger said it was good to him rated 7.5.. margarita was full of way to much ice see pic it watered the flavor. However the lemon drop was good.

On our first visit here, we tried some of their adult beverages. She had their Prickly Pear Margarita and Tropical Mimosa. I tried their Top Shelf Margarita with Casamigas and then their Build Your Own Bloody Mary. I added an onion ring and piece of bacon to my Bloody Mary and enjoyed it. My wife enjoyed a burger and I loved their loaded tots! Service from Dillon was excellent!

Awesome food... awesome beer selection!
I got the fried chicken bowl and my girlfriend got chicken fried steak. We exchanged bites from each other's plates. We both agreed both dishes were great!

Our waitress was great! She took the time to actually talk to us and go over the menu since it was our first time.

We will be back soon.
