I had an excellent experience at Optimum RV. My salesperson was Kim, who was very open and honest as well as communicative. The first time I visited I fell in love with an RV which was sold as I was looking at it. Kim ensured that I was not forgotten and contracted me a month later with another RV in mind for me, which I ended up purchasing. Overall great customer service who got me exactly what I wanted!

SAFETY is NOT a priority at Optimum RV. We had to pay a mandatory $2500 for them to do a Pre Safety check list. It was sold as is. They said we have to have this done before we drove it off the lot. That if any SAFETY issue was involved they would fix it.As you can see they let us drive off with bad breaks and the emergency break away switch was broken. So what did we pay for? The tires should have had a 50 PSI but when we got to the gas station it was at 28 PSI. Dominica and Kim said they would help us after I called and text. They didn’t respond after a month I tried again. They said we could drive the camper back to them2 1/2 hour trip. With no emergency break. After over a month we finally had to get it done ourselves.once you sign the paperwork they forget you. People ask where we got our camper We say the Worst place ever Optimum RV in Ocala Florida our sales team was Kim Grant and Cody Smith.

They got me approved when no one else could. The whole process took 3 hours once on the property.

Brandon was a good sales agent. BUT I only dealt with him for 20 min after getting on to the property. Prior to that, he was good at keeping me informed.

Within 24 hours, I replaced the propane regulator (bad leak and unsafe - shop should have caught that) and sewer connection (Broken) , I'm working on getting the plastic wheel fenders and dinette cushions since they sold it to me the way they got it, apparently.

Yes, it is better than our previous 2013 unit since it's a 2021, but there are some things I took for granted that the dealership would address. prior to selling.

Overall, it was a good experience. We drove 680 miles 1 way to get it. Next time, I'll know what to address prior to signing the paperwork.

One of the worst experiences of my life. Update they also don’t email you back after telling you to email them. Somehow got approved for a loan and figured it was my good credit. Nope come to find out they had lied on my loan application so make sure to read your contracts before you sign. Also contact someone else outside of optimum rv to inspect your rv. Turns out wiring was bad in mine and it burnt down. Also was no insurance on it even tho in paperwork it states that we did.

Update: they are refusing to pay damages. DO NOT CONSIDER consigning or buying it will be your worst mistake. Optimum was going to sell our unit for us. We were supposed to get a detailed report on our RV and we never did. After Helene we tried to contact them to see if our RV sustained any damages from the storm. Crickets. We then said we were don’t and coming to get our RV early to try another dealership due to lack of communication and holding up their end of the deal. When my husband arrived he found that the flooring had been damaged when a salesman had thrown the stair pin on the floor and closed the slide in on it. UPDATE 11/13/24: The general manager is refusing to pay the damages stating it’s part of the contract and that he was never made aware of the incident by the manager that checked us out that day. Very unprofessional. Huge disconnect and lack of communication.

They still charged us $1500 to get out of our contract and our currently giving us the run around on the repair costs that are at an estimated $7500 from General RV. Our RV goes in tomorrow for the repairs and still haven’t heard how Optimum plans to pay for the damages they caused to our RV. So furious. We do not recommend trusting them at all.

Let’s just say this, one of the worst experiences I have ever had buying anything. I would avoid this place at all cost. I called about a fifth wheel and started to work a deal with them and after a couple hours they said they would send me over the paperwork so I could give them the deposit on the unit. Waited a couple hours and asked for the paperwork, they never sent it and then they closed. Called three next morning and asked for them to send me paperwork so that I could send the deposit l, again they never send it over after we agreed to everything. Called again about two hours later said they were working on it. Called again a couple hours later asking for the paperwork after they told me to stop working with other dealers on prices. Finally got a text back saying they sold the unit to someone else for more. Needless to say we were pretty upset but a couple hours later they called me back saying they would like to sell it to me. We found out it’s because the other peoples finance fell through so they’re trying to kiss but to try to get me to buy the unit again.

So we did ended up buying it but this is where it gets worse. We found multiple issues with the unit and did a walk-through after driving 4 hours to do an inspection. We filled out the install paperwork and we scheduled to come back up a couple days later and they said they would have it fixed and ready to go. We arrived to do the final walk through 20 mins early. The guy that did the walk through with us showed up 35 mins late and we were rushed through the walk through. There were still multiple issues with the unit when we got done on the final walk through. They also said they would clean the unit which was not done, the roof was horrible (pictured included). We went to hitch the unit up and the battery died. We found out they had a bad battery in it and they only had one when the unit was supposed to have two. They were replaced after waiting another 2 hours. We had to write down multiple issues that they said would be fixed at a later date. The unit had molding pulled away and they were supposed to fix it, they just shot staples through the front which didn’t go all the way in and were hanging out everywhere. We bought the unit in the beginning of July and we have called more the 15 times and they always say our server lady is busy and would call us back and NEVER has. We called the manufacturer for parts so we can just do it out self and we went to get a fan motor parts number and the motor was taken out by them and never put back in when they were supposed to fix it. When we finalized the paperwork there was an issue with the first bank so they had to find another bank l, when we got the paperwork back they tried to up our apr buy like 4% which we caught and made them go back and change it. With everything they do they try and steal more and more from you. There is so much more to this story but would take forever. JUST GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

I recently brought my RV in for some minor warranty work. Brittany my service advisor met me at the drop off point and we went over what needed to be done. She followed through and made sure the parts were ordered and properly installed. When I told her my tire pressure was low she went as far as to bring a compressor out and air them up. She is an amazing service advisor that really cares about her customers.
