Especially Product Consultant Scott Hutton
This young man so very very helpful before AND after the purchase . Nothing was too much bother for him. He took care of everything from start to finish including the use of a courtesy vehicle free off charge after a problem arose.
He regularly kept me updated by emails and phone calls, also made sure I was happy and clear with what was taking place before going ahead.
I’d also like to thank both managers (unfortunately I don’t know their names) who when the problem popped up sanctioned what ever it took, to make sure I was looked after and happy
And a final thanks to Stevie who brought the courtesy cars through to Edinburgh .

I was very happy with the repair department. Very friendly staff, very well organized and responsive. Every detail was sent to me and I was explained about every step. The courtesy car was ready when I dropped my car and the paperwork was quick. They spent all efforts to resolve my car issue without any hesitation. Great team and while I need to drive 45 minutes to reach there (and I have many other branches closed by), I will return to this branch for any minor or major issues I have with my car. Thanks.

Avoid !! I’m a long standing customer and they treated me terribly. I took my car in for its second service with them, I reported an oil pressure warning light and asked them to sort it. They ignored it and completed the service and emailed me what needed doing. I approved the work and paid £1400.
They then tell me this won’t sort the oil problem and I have to book on separate for that. I took it back for the MOT and they passed it and told me my oil loss was normal. A week later they tell me I need a new engine for £5400!
Citroen agreed to pay half. Arnold Clark won’t do a thing to help me. They have made excuses and tried to wriggle out of any responsibility. The oil issue is a known issue with my car, I have discovered this through my own research, so they would have been aware but they still chose to ignore the problem and think it’s ok to charge me £1400 on a car that most likely will need a new engine. There is no way I would have paid this, if I thought I would possibly need a new engine. They are saying it’s my fault because I didn’t ask them to change the wet belt (I had never heard of a wet belt until all of this) and it’s my fault because I’ve gone over the miles for the last service. This shouldn’t cause an engine to fail !!
Customer service aren’t interested. The CEO won’t speak to me. The executive office refuse to do anything. So I’m left paying £228 for a car I can’t use. I can’t hand it back because only 18 months into my finance agreement. I regret the day I walked back into Arnold Clark, they even told me to “get my husband to buy me a new car”
I’m now having to go through the legal process which takes months, maybe years. I can’t work without a car. I live in a rural area so need my car to get kids to school etc. I can’t afford to buy another car because I’m paying £228 a month for this one.
Avoid Arnold Clark. Once they have your money, they literally don’t care.

First class, from first viewing of the Mini Country man to eventual purchase. Kaz took us through the purchasing process effortlessly.
A small complication was the purchasing of a car with private number plate as I also had a car with a private number plate. The process wasn’t able to be done on-line. Therefore took a number of weeks to sort out.
Any difficulties with this were dealt with easily by Kerryann. She was so patient in dealing with me !!

We had a great experience at Arnold Clark. Kilmarnock. We were welcomed by Gary Andrew who took us through the options which met our needs. After making our decision he sorted out the trade in of our previous cars and made the purchase of our new one as easy as it could be. We were even able to collect our new car the very next day. Gary also made sure we were comfortable with our new car ensuring we knew all the controls needed for a safe drive home.
