Absolutely AMAZING experience! I have never felt more at home somewhere than when we sat down for dinner. Our servers were so knowledgeable and so kind. And of course the food was outstanding. One of my favorite tasting menus. I just loved everything about it. I can't wait to come back again!!

This is the first restaurant that I’ve tried during my first trip to Chicago. It was beyond my expectations.

The restaurant was located at an inconspicuous location. Who would’ve ever knew that there was a Michelin restaurant there.

There was nothing to complain about the service. Our tasting menu consisted of a Miso Soup, which according to the kitchen is the first day they were serving it and we happened to be the first guests to taste it. It was waaay too salty and they did not hesitate to remake the soup for us (it was perfect the second time around - because of this they also gave us extra drinks on the house 😊).

The food was delicious each dish was very different and memorable and creative. The portion sizes were great! We were all so full by the time we finished all our courses. The server told us that the menu changes every 5-6 days so there’s different dishes all the time. We did think all our dishes were Asian inspired so I’m very excited to come back and try other dishes they have to present.

Overall, the experience was enjoyable, but for a $330 per person price tag and a Michelin-starred restaurant, I expected perfection—and it fell short.

Small details detracted from the experience, such as lipstick stains on my water glass (raising concerns about cleanliness), poor acoustics that made it difficult to hear the waiter even when they were right next to me, and my drink pairing arriving after the food was already on the table.

The food was excellent, with standout dishes like the Pupusa (1st dish), Noodles (8th dish), and Velvet Elvis Bread Pudding (13th dish)—though the last dish's name felt misleading since there was nothing particularly "bread pudding" about it. Portion sizes could have been slightly larger; while I wasn’t starving afterward, I wasn’t fully satisfied either. The spirit-free drink pairing was well-executed, aside from the caramel soda, which didn’t quite hit the mark.

Service was great (despite the issues mentioned), and the atmosphere was enjoyable, especially with the open view of the kitchen. However, the restrooms could use an upgrade.

Great experience for a more local feeling tasting menu in Chicago. One of the more intimate dining rooms I've experienced that produces food of this caliber. We were lucky enough to be seated directly next to the kitchen which was a treat to watch all the food prep.

Food overall was excellent and loved the focus not just on seasonal ingredients but also matching the dishes to the time of year. For the end of November a thanksgiving pasta (turkey confit, cranberry sauce, stuffing crumbles) and a number of pickled items along with a few courses featuring venison.

Look forward to returning and experiencing a different menu!

Amazing experience from Chef Hunter!
There where many great surprises and it was a night and food journey to remember. Highly recommend this for a night of dining and entertainment within eating and drinking wine.

Dined at 5:30 and was the first patron to enter. Was fun to be alone for a minute and then to see the room fill and the pace pick up. The space is small and comfortable. Not pretentious and staff are warm and friendly. I sat immediately next to the kitchen which is open to the dining area and was able to watch all of the dishes prepared, plated and delivered. A well orchestrated symphony with attention paid to every detail, as you might expect from a Michelin star. The menu changes very frequently based on what is fresh and available, mostly locally sourced. I did the reserve wine pairing which is more a traditional wine pairing than the regular which features more eclectic or off the map wines. For me this is the wines/champagne I prefer and it was well done. Each offering partnered well with the dish and I enjoyed all of them. The food was phenomenal. Every dish was interesting and delicious with excellent presentation. I’ll be back next time my travels bring me to Chicago. Also the pricing I thought was very reasonable for the quality. Not saying they should increase the pricing 😉 but I’d happily have paid more for a meal and service of this quality.

We chose Atelier for my birthday dinner, and enjoyed every dish. My favorite was the ceviche-type tortilla. I'm not a dessert person, but loved the flash-freeze strawberry dessert.The service was attentive, kitchen was flowing and chill, and vibe was wonderful.

Very kind and careful staff cared about our experience from the moment we booked all the way till we left feeling happy and fat. My beautiful bride and I enjoyed their tasting menu with obvious tweaks to her vegetarian diet. Everything was delicious, surprising, and fun. The NA drink pairings were wonderfully inspired and amazing. 11/10.
