OMG, this place was beautiful!! We had so much fun here and the view of the mountains was spectacular! The water was clean and pristine. We swam, wake boarded and surfed. It was a great day full of wonderful memories.

We drove an hour and a half for my son's birthday, hoping to have a good day. The entrance fee was outrageously high for what is provided. We had to pay an extra $45 to use our own kayak. The reservoir is large but the beach area is so small and crowded. There is plenty of room to expand. The beach was also very dirty, even though they are well staffed with employees that police the area like guards. Make sure you don't leave a wallet sitting in the sand, you will be reprimanded! Besides that, the swimming area is so small! Kids are not encouraged to splash and play. You can't jump from the floating dock into the water. And for as much as we paid, we were there just an hour before it started to rain. We tried to get a rain check because it was so expensive. (Not that we really wanted to go back.) We waited an hour before leaving, and was told that the beach had to be closed for at least 90 minutes. It was my son's birthday, he was bummed about everything already, so we didn't wait the extra 30 minutes before driving an hour and a half home. We won't be returning.

Very clean, affordable, and has great seating areas for bbq and picnics. We went early so the water was about 68 degrees...not terribly cold but slightly uncomfortable so I would suggest going a little later in the day. Also plan on not showering there. They do have trailers with showers but there is almost no water preasure so plan on a quick super cold rinse... I wouldn't suggest putting shampoo in your hair because you will not get it out.
